If the Wedding Cake will be dessert, then it's perfect to have the cake cutting take place as dinner is ending. This creates a natural segue to draw people's attention from dinner onto the formal events of the reception. It also allows older guests who may leave early the chance to witness this important tradition. If the Wedding Cake will not be dessert, then it works well to place it after about 30 minutes of dancing. Then shortly after the cake cutting return attention to the dancefloor with the bouquet and garter toss. |
